My Story

Growing up I never had to worry about my weight. I was one of those naturally skinny girls who could eat what she wanted when she wanted.....and trust me I DID. That's where my problem with weight began, I was so used to eating poorly and not feel any of the repercussions, I thought I could continue doing that into my adulthood and remain skinny...boy was I wrong. It started out slowly, I had my first baby at 20 years old, gained 60 pounds, and lost it all (minus a few) right away. I was fine holding on to a little extra baby weight, I could afford to gain a few pounds.

After baby number one

Shortly after getting married in 2007 I gave birth to my second. I only gained 20 pounds with her, and again lost it all right away.
One week old and in pre-baby jeans!

I expected this pattern to continue for the rest of my life. Six months later my husband got stationed in Northern California, it was winter and he was gone 90% of the time. I was stuck in the house all day with two kids, as it was too cold do to anything outside. Depressed and bored I turned to food, I really didn't see anything wrong with the way I was eating as I had always been able to eat what I wanted when I wanted. I started to notice my clothes were feeling a little snug, but didn't think much of it. Next thing I knew I couldn't fit into my clothes at all! I was wearing yoga pants everywhere because it was the only thing that fit. During our seven months in Northern California I gained 25lbs!

I really don't have any pictures of me after that, because I refused to let anyone take one of me I was so embarrassed.

Once we got here to Florida that weight gain kept creeping up on me. I gained another 15lbs in one year. By the time I got pregnant with my third this past November I was weighing in at 155lbs and a size 12. While for most women that is completely normal, however I am only 5'3" and have a very small frame, weight shows on me. I gained the normal 20lbs during my pregnancy, so I was shocked when I found out I had gestational diabetes. This was my turning point, not only was my poor eating habits affecting me and my health; it was putting the health of my unborn child at risk. That’s where it clicked...if this is effecting my unborn child, what is it doing to the children I already have? My three year old can give you a rundown of every restaurant and fast food in the city NO JOKE.

I'm about to POP (excuse the hair)

I can say my baby saved my life, if it were not for him I don't know if I would have ever stopped my poor habits. It was time for a change....then I found Beachbody! I started eating right, and became active. In 6 weeks I lost 35lbs! That's when I decided to become a Coach; I figure if I can feel this good about myself, imagine how good I would feel if I helped others achieve their goals! The rest is history.
Here I am at 175lbs
Here I am now 140lbs! I haven't been this skinny in 3 years!

My goal. Follow me on my journey!
