New Recipes!
I have been so bad blogging lately, with school and the kids activities I have been on OVERLOAD! This past week I have tried 3 different recipes and OMG they are AMAZING! I am working on creating a new tab right now, to put all the new recipes I try. Stay tuned!!

Chores
Is there a chore you ABSOLUTELY dread doing, but have to? For me it’s dishes and laundry! I absolutely HATE doing both of them, however I have no choice. If I don’t do laundry my family will have nothing to wear, if I don’t do dishes my family will have nothing to eat off of. There are things in life, we don’t want to do, but in order to live we have to. From now on, think of your workout that way. Yes there are days I don’t want to work out, more often than I would like to admit, I’m lazy by nature. But I HAVE to work out every day, if I don’t I won’t be able to fit in those clothes I washed. So before you skip that workout remember you won’t get results if you don’t!

E&E (Energy and Endurance)
OH MY WORD! I just got Beachbody's new product E&E in the mail today! I haven't been this excited since I tried Shakeology for the first time! You mix 1-2 scoops with 4-8oz of water, wait 15minutes then BAM it hits you! Holy heck I have not had this much energy since I was 12! I PUSHED harder then I have ever PUSHED before on my workout! I actually completed P90X KenpoX for the FIRST time since I have been doing the workouts! I am soooooo excited to see what this does for my results! It's 100x's better then any stimulant pill, redbull, or 5 hour energy combined! Plus it's WAY cheaper!

Valentines Day
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! If you are like me you are probably already planning what goodies you're going to bring to your kids' school. Sure you can buy a package of heart cookies with pink frosting from your local bakery, or bake some cupcakes with sprinkles, of course they may taste yummy but it's not exactly sending the right message to our children. This year I challenge you to make healthy treats for every school party. After all this is our children we are talking about, they deserve nothing but the best. This year I’m making these fruit kabobs for my Son’s class. Healthy doesn’t have to be boring! Plus I get to eat snack on some yummy melon while prepping, instead of cookie dough or cake mix YUCK!
While I’m at it, let’s discuss those adorably scrumptious boxes of candy! If you are like me…which I’m sure most women are; you LOVE chocolate! And what better to eat it from a fancy heart shaped box, the only problem is I can’t just eat one, before I know it the whole box is demolished in a day, which depending on the type of candy could be WAY over my allotted calories for the day. Ditch the box of chocolate this year and go for something like these non-fat Greek yogurt covered strawberries….pop them in the freezer and enjoy! Heck if you’re looking for a little extra crunch roll them in granola before you freeze!

Are you counting calories?
It's snack time....Look in the fridge...take a bite...walk over to the pantry....take a bite.... Next thing you know your standing in the middle of the kitchen mindlessly demolishing that bag of chips, while staring in your pantry thinking...hmmmmmm what to eat? Before you know it you have completely bypassed your allotted calories for the day.
Does that sound familiar???
That used to be me, until I started preparing my food in advance!
Once a week (Sundays for me) I pre-package all my food into serving sizes for the week. When I'm running late for that appointment, or time passed by and I have to run out the door to pick up the kids from school, I don't have to think about what I'm going to eat. I open my fridge and grab a snack. I don't have to think "How many calories is this?" or try to figure out what a serving size is, it's already been done. I actually get to enjoy my food, without worrying about what it's going to do to my waistline.
Plus it looks inviting.....much better then those greasy bag of chips!

Are you drinking enough?.
Would you run your car without the proper amount of fluids; gas, oil, coolant? Chances are your answer is no, so why would you run your body without the proper amount of WATER!? It's the most important thing we can put in our body, and the best part about it is....It's FREE!
When you wake up in the morning the first thing you should do is drink a tall glass of ice water with lemon. Adding the lemon helps to detoxify the liver and metabolizes fat, this can speed up your metabolism by about 33 percent, which equals about 100 extra calories burned per day!
Drink half your body weight in ounces a day with ICE cold water. When you drink ice water your body has to work extra hard to warm you back up, burning more calories!
Experts say that hunger pangs are most commonly mistaken for your body craving WATER! Before you eat a meal, drink 16oz of ICE cold water, if you are still hungry, then eat. Chances are you wont eat as much, and we all know what that means! Less calories!

Is fast food really cheaper?
What is your excuse for eating fast food? Mine was It's CHEAPER than real food. It wasn't until after I started eating REAL food that I realized my excuse was just that....an excuse! It was an excuse for my laziness, and my need for instant gratification. Now that my family eats REAL food for every meal, we have the extra money to go out and create memories for our children, and to me that is more gratifying then a Big Mac and fries.

Tropical Shakeology!

HEALTHY Chocolate pudding
Healthy Fat-Burning Chocolate Pudding:
(This recipe will make about 2-4 servings and is a great healthy dessert or late night snack)
If everything went right, the consistency will be similar to pudding… except normal pudding makes you FAT with loads of sugar! My healthy pudding recipe will actually HELP you to burn fat, control cravings, and satisfy your body’s need for micro-nutrients, protein, healthy fats, and fiber.
If the pudding ends up too thick, simply add a bit more almond milk or coconut milk for more moisture until the consistency seems right.

- 1/2 of a ripe avocado (soft to touch)
- approx 3 tablespoons of almond butter (preferably raw if possible)
- approx 1/4 cup of unsweetened almond milk or coconut milk (preferably organic)
- 2 heaping tablespoons of organic cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
- 1 packet of stevia (or enough to your desired sweetness level)
- 1/2 to 3/4 of a scoop of chocolate Shakeology
- just a small pinch of sea salt
